Commit: Focus Timer is a local-first focus commitment app by Kuuloa LLC. It helps users write a clear study or work commitment, optionally share or copy that declaration, and pause selected distracting apps during a fixed focus period. No account is required to use the app.

Data Stored on the Device

The app may store the following information in local app storage on the user's device:

• Commitment text entered by the user
• Selected app, category, or web domain tokens provided by Apple's Screen Time frameworks
• Focus session start time, end time, selected duration, and completion state
• Local password state for ending a standard commitment early
• App preferences such as language selection, setup state, and free-use counters

Commit does not provide a developer-operated account system and does not upload selected app lists, Screen Time data, commitment text, session history, or app preferences to a developer-operated server.

Screen Time and Family Controls

If the user grants Screen Time / Family Controls permission, Commit uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to let the user select distractions, shield selected apps or categories during an active commitment, and clear the shield when the commitment interval ends.

Selected app and category tokens are processed on the device and shared only between the Commit app and its Screen Time extensions through local App Group storage.

Sharing Commitments

Sharing is optional. When a user chooses to share or copy a commitment, Commit prepares the text locally and hands it to the iOS share sheet. The destination app or service chosen by the user handles the shared content under that service's own policies.

Purchases

Optional Pro purchases are processed by Apple In-App Purchase. Commit receives StoreKit entitlement status to unlock Pro features such as unlimited commitments, longer durations, exact end-time scheduling, Strict Mode, and daily schedules. Kuuloa LLC does not receive the user's payment card details.

Data Collection and Sharing

Commit does not operate a developer server for selected apps, Screen Time data, commitment text, or focus sessions. Commit does not sell user data and does not share selected app lists, session state, Screen Time data, commitment text, location, contacts, photos, files, typed text, or screen contents with a developer-operated server.

Backup, Retention, and Deletion

Commit data is stored in the app's local storage on the device. Data remains on the device until the user deletes it through available app controls, clears app data, or uninstalls the app.

Users can remove Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings and can delete local Commit data by deleting the app.

Children

Commit is a general focus and productivity app and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the app changes. The last updated date will be updated when changes are made.
