Website Content Handled by the Extension

When the user clicks the Summary button, the extension may read the current YouTube video page, YouTube transcript text, YouTube auto caption text, caption metadata, the video title, and related information needed to create a useful summary prompt. This is website content.

The extension does not read this content on unrelated websites. Its website access is limited to YouTube pages for transcript and caption handling, and to ChatGPT pages for inserting the generated prompt into the input box.

How the Data Is Used

Transcript and caption text is used only to create a ChatGPT summary prompt requested by the user. The extension may copy the prompt to the clipboard as a fallback, open ChatGPT, and insert the prompt into ChatGPT's input box so the user can review it.

The extension does not automatically submit the prompt to ChatGPT. The user decides whether to send the prompt after reviewing it.

Storage

The extension may store user preferences in Chrome storage, such as output language, summary detail, and timestamp options. It may also temporarily store the generated prompt while moving it from the YouTube tab to the ChatGPT tab.

Sharing and Third-Party Services

Kuuloa LLC does not operate a separate server for this extension and does not receive YouTube transcript text, YouTube auto caption text, or generated prompts from the extension.

The extension opens ChatGPT at chatgpt.com or chat.openai.com. Prompt text is sent to ChatGPT only if the user chooses to submit it there. Use of ChatGPT is governed by OpenAI's terms and privacy policy.

Kuuloa LLC uses data handled by the extension only to provide or improve the extension's single user-facing purpose: creating a ChatGPT summary prompt from a YouTube transcript or auto captions. Kuuloa LLC does not sell user data, does not use user data for advertising, does not use user data for credit decisions or lending purposes, and does not transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.

Security

The extension uses HTTPS pages for YouTube and ChatGPT. User preferences are stored through Chrome storage. Users should avoid placing sensitive personal information in prompts unless they intend to send that information to ChatGPT.
